Choir, Costumes & a Rainbow Welcome at the Ranch: Day 8

Idaho Ranch

Today was nothing short of amazing for our Grand Western adventurers!

We started the morning on a high note literally with the incredible Tabernacle Choir experience. The students were immersed in the power and beauty of worldclass vocals, a truly unforgettable way to kick off the day. You could feel the sense of awe as they listened, and even more so as they reflected on it afterward. A few students said it gave them chills!

After the morning inspiration, it was time to shift gears into something a bit more competitive, and definitely more colorful. Volleyball teams were announced, and let’s just say… the energy was electric. Some students were already coming up with team chants before we even left the room. Expect some hilarious team names, creative strategies, and lots of friendly competition in the days ahead.

Next stop? Walmart, where the mission was clear: find the perfect costumes for the upcoming themed volleyball matches. From cowboy hats to neon tutus and everything in between, it was a whirlwind of laughter, cart races, and spontaneous fashion shows down aisle 9. We can’t wait for you to see what they came up with!

By late afternoon, we made our way to the ranch, just in time to catch a golden sunset stretching across the wide-open western landscape. As we arrived, cows wandered through the fields, adding a peaceful, pastoral charm that felt straight out of a movie.

A light drizzle rolled through, refreshing and brief; just enough to add a cool touch to the air. And then, like a gift from the sky, a stunning double rainbow arched overhead. The group stood in awe, snapping pictures and taking it all in together. It was one of those moments you know they’ll never forget.
