After days of national parks and wide-open skies, we officially made it to Seattle! The city brought a different kind of energy; full of music, movement, and memories-in-the-making.
We started our day at the Museum of Pop Culture, where everyone got hands-on in the Sound Lab. Whether they were laying down beats, testing instruments, or channeling their inner rockstars, the group dove right in. Sawyer, George, and Lucas stole the show with some impressive vocals, and a spontaneous dance party in the atrium had the whole group moving.
As the sun started to set, the group dressed up for a fun night out. We headed to the dock at Ivar’s for photos, the perfect backdrop for a sharp-looking crew.
Today brought out everyone’s creative side and reminded us how special it is to celebrate the journey together in a new kind of setting.
Day 16 gave us a full dose of Seattle’s best, from waterfront wildlife to city icons, and even a hometown baseball victory to top it all off.
Our local guide James hopped on board to show us around, taking us to some of his favorite hidden gems. One highlight: we watched seals munching on salmon at the fish ladder – a first for many of us!
Next up was Pike Place Market, where the group had time to explore, grab lunch, and load up on perfectly ripe peaches, cherries, and local treats.
Then it was up, up, up to the top of the Space Needle! The views were as incredible as expected, and we even crossed paths with an Instagram-famous cat who became a surprise celebrity moment for a few of our travelers.
To close out an unforgettable day, we headed to the Mariners game, loaded up on classic ballpark snacks, and cheered the team on to a win. Marty turned on the blue bus lights to celebrate on the ride home, a perfect GWT touch.
