Sunshine, springs, and river splashes: Day 5, you were a blast! 🌶️

Day five was all about sunshine, splashes, and Southwestern flavors; a perfect recipe for adventure and fun.

We started our day with a laid-back picnic in beautiful Pagosa Springs. Sandwiches were enjoyed under the sun, and plenty of feet were dipped into the warm springs for a little relaxing soak.

The highlight of the day came when we traded picnics for paddles and hit the river for some whitewater rafting! Along the way, the guides shared tales about the famous “spitting trout,” and the kids turned the rafting trip into an all-out splash battle between boats. A few brave souls even tried riding the bull, balancing on the edge of the raft while the guide spun them around until they fell in with a big laugh and an even bigger splash.

Dinner brought everyone together for authentic New Mexican-style cooking, with plenty of green and red chile to go around. To finish off the evening, the group explored downtown Durango at their own pace, a chance to stroll, grab a treat, and enjoy the mountain town vibe.

After a day of river thrills and relaxing moments, everyone is recharging for more adventures tomorrow. Stay tuned for the next chapter of our journey!
