Anaheim to San Diego
After a delicious breakfast at the Embassy Suites where you could get a made to order omelette, we loaded the bus and headed for Hollywood Boulevard. Right before we reached the star studded lined street, we caught a glimpse of the Hollywood sign. Travelers took an hour of free time to walk Hollywood Blvd. and visit some shops, but most were more interested in looking at the stars that lined the street. Locating your favorite celebrity star and taking a picture with it can be a little difficult with all the tourists and street performers but the group did a fantastic job. A short drive to the original LA Farmers Market and the group split up again to find their choice of lunch. After stuffing our faces, we headed to do a little more shopping in both the old and new section of the market with a little taste of the Los Angeles atmosphere. Among the LA atmosphere a few minutes away, we found ourselves starring eye to eye with Ice Age fossils found in the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum, Including saber tooth cats, teratorns, and several types of birds. After the museum we all got to see the actual tar pits where these fossils were recovered. A quick change into our swim suits and we were off to Laguna Beach. Upon arrival at the Pacific Ocean, with a few instructions on the differences in oceans we are all more accustomed to, the travelers headed straight for the water! After being in the water a while, we all split up to find our own dinner. Even though we all chose different meals for dinner, it seemed we all found the same dessert...gelato! The night ended with a ride to San
Diego and the Ramada Inn.
