Sun, sand, sea lions and San Diego
Accompanied by beautiful weather, we arrived at the San Diego Zoo early in the morning. We hopped on the bus tour, and our guide showed us around. After the bus tour, the kids had free time to explore the zoo with their friends and meet their favorite animals.
Before we left, some stopped by the Busy Bee Café and purchased local honey, and some rode the sky tram to see the overview of the zoo.
We grabbed a quick bite for lunch at Liberty Public Market then shortly after, the bus brought us to La Jolla Beach! It is a stunning beach with many local stores and restaurants; we had plenty of time to lay out by the water, shop for souvenirs, and enjoy a cold drink. How fun and relaxing! We had BBQ chicken, baked beans, and potato salad for dinner; the kids sat beside each other and ate while watching the sun slowly set in the Pacific.
Before we returned to our hotel, we stopped to watch the 4th of July fireworks exploding over San Diego Bay. What an unforgettable night!
Tomorrow, we will visit Las Vegas and see a show in the V theater!
