Bison & Elk and Bears, Oh My!

Jackson, WY to West Yellowstone, MT

Yesterday we visited Yellowstone National Park after a drive by the Grand Tetons. In Yellowstone, we first watched the Old Faithful & Beehive geysers erupt shortly after arriving. Following the geysers we broke up into our color groups to further explore the park, my group opted to get food at the cafe nearby. We then all got back on the bus to drive around and explore more and find a place to eat our lunches. We had ended up eating lunch by a river that flowed through the park.

After lunch we visited the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and many other scenic stops. We all took a lot of pictures. Throughout our time traveling through Yellowstone we saw an assortment of animals including bison, black bears, elk, and moose. We even ran into some bison crossing the road on our way out of the park. Following the park we arrived at our hotel in West Yellowstone, MT. We all had a free choice dinner and free time until curfew so many people walked around the town and ate at local restaurants.

FUN FACT OF THE DAY: Yellowstone is the oldest national park in the world being established in 1872.
