California Dreamin'

San Francisco, CA to Pismo Beach, CA

Today our California adventures continued as we made our way from San Francisco to Pismo Beach! The morning brought us one of our favorite breakfast pit stops so far, Chick-fil-a! We made it to the beach around lunchtime, and broke into small groups to eat wherever we wanted… even some ice cream for lunch!

The beach time was free time, so some groups laid out to get some sun since it was a bright and sunny day, some played games like soccer and CanJam, and others walked around Pismo to do a little shopping. It was a great day at the beach.

Afterwards, we made our way to our hotel in a cute little town called Arroyo Grande where we were on our own to do what we wanted for dinner. Some walked to the restaurants on the strip, some just ordered delivery in their rooms and watched movies. Another great day on the road.

FUN FACT OF THE DAY: Pismo Beach used to be known as the ‘Clam Capital of the World.’ While clams still sprinkle the beaches, they are too small to harvest and are now protected by law.
