Happy as a clam at Fisherman's Wharf!

We said our goodbyes to Gold Beach, Oregon, early in the morning and headed toward San Francisco. The kids spent a couple of hours on the road, singing to their favorite songs and playing trivia; before we realized it, we arrived at Avenue of the Giants, the world’s largest ancient redwood forest. It took six of us to wrap around the trunk. How crazy is that!

Our first stop in San Francisco was In-N-Out Burger, the famous west coast burger restaurant. The kids were excited to grab a bite and purchase a souvenir t-shirt. We also walked around Fishermen’s Wharf after dinner; some got dessert at Ben & Jerry’s.

Tomorrow we will hop on a city tour, visit the Golden Gate Bridge, and dine in Chinatown!
