Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler

Seguin, TX to New Orleans, LA

We woke up to a beautiful morning at the Geronimo Creek Ranch, ate a quick breakfast, then hit the road. Another long ride making our way to New Orleans, so we entertained ourselves on the bus by sleeping, then watching some movies and playing games. Even played a little dress up before our lunch stop.

While lunch was quick, the main roadside attraction was our new favorite gas station, Buc-ees. We all stocked up on Buc-ees gear (with some even getting Buc-ee beaver onesies), Icees, and snacks and hopped back on the road.

We got to New Orleans right before dinner, so we did a quick wardrobe change to get ready for our last night dinner, and walked a short ways in the French Quarter to our restaurant, Coterie. Many opted for traditional New Orleans fare like the sausage gumbo and jambalaya, which were delicious!

After dinner, we walked to the quintessential New Orleans pitstop, Cafe du Monde, for some of their famous beignets, took a ton of photos since everyone was all decked out, then made our way back to the hotel for the evening. We’re leaving bright and early tomorrow at 3:30 am, so doubt there will be much sleeping tonight. See you all TOMORROW!

FUN FACT OF THE DAY: Bourbon Street isn’t named after the drink, but the French royal family that was ruling at the time, the House of Bourbon.
