2022 Session One

Needle-less to say, we love Seattle's skyline!

Good Morning Seattle! We had a delicious breakfast at our hotel and headed to the iconic Space Needle. The top view was spectacular, and on this clear day we could see Mount Rainier! Some courageous kids walked down and stood on the glass floor for amazing photos.

After we came down from the Space Needle, we went on a city tour and explored Hiram M. Chittenden Locks ( a complex of locks at the west end of Salmon Bay). We learned and observed different types of salmon in the Underwater Viewing Gallery.

We then had free time to grab lunch and explore the famous Public Market! The kids got to try freshly made apple cider slushies, local famous Mac n Cheese, and even sushi. Many visited the first Starbucks store and purchased souvenirs.

As for dinner, we dined in Ivar’s Salmon House, an absolute local gem. While their house specialty is salmon, we also had the option to have chicken or a vegetarian pasta dish. Before we left, we took pictures of the beautiful view outside of the restaurant. What a day!

Tomorrow, we will visit Gold Beach in Oregon!
