Day 30 brought us big skies, fresh water, and a taste of Texas to remember.
We spent the afternoon at Balmorhea State Park, home to one of the world’s largest spring-fed swimming pools. The group wasted no time jumping in, some headed straight for the diving board, while others soaked up the sun, tanning and floating in the clear, cool water.
After the swim, we got our fill of Texas BBQ for dinner, with all the fixings to match the day’s energy. And to finish things off, we made a quick stop at Dairy Queen for a sweet, small-town classic: soft serve and Blizzards all around.
It was the kind of day that felt simple, fun, and just right for this part of the country – cooling off, filling up, and enjoying the stretch of summer still ahead.
