Here we come, Durango!

We left Colorado Springs early in the morning (5:45am!) and headed towards Durango. We encountered a few inconveniences on the road, yet we made lemonade out of lemons! Our bus stopped in Ouray, the “Switzerland of America.” Kids had some free time to explore local shops and grab a bite for lunch. What a great surprise stop!

On our way to Durango, we traveled through gorgeous mountains and saw many epic views. We couldn’t help but to pull over and take some pictures before leaving the area. The Million Dollar Highway was magnificent!

A couple more hours on the road and we reached Durango! The bus dropped us off in downtown where many shops and local restaurants are located. The kids splits into small groups and went off exploring. They had so much fun and loved their choice of dinners!

Tomorrow, we are visiting Mesa Verde National Park and going to dinner at Bar D Chuckwagon!
