Hot to Trot!

Swan Valley, ID

Tuesday morning we woke up to the cool air of Idaho and went out to the picnic tables to eat a delicious breakfast. We talked about what was in the plan for the day as we enjoyed home cooked pancakes and bacon. Afterwards, we split up into our color groups and went horseback riding.

My group was the first to go. As Marty drove us to the ranch we were filed with mixed emotions. We weren’t sure how this was going to go but we were excited about the ride. When we got there we got fit for our horses and started the journey. The ride was full of beautiful scenery and trees that were lush and green. We took some photos in a field with our horses. On the way home we talked about the horse’s personalities, whose was crazy and whose behaved.

When we arrived at our ranch we ate lunch and played many games including a fan favorite, pickle ball. We played until the rain came taking all the students to the porch. We listened to music and waited patiently for our dinner. We ate ribs with salad and a cake for dessert. It was our chef’s birthday! As the rain grew stronger half of the girls were called back to the lodge. We were bummed about the split but we made it up by having dance parties and stopping for snacks! It was a good day.
