Froyo, Sunsets, and Synchronized Handstands: Day 3 Rolls into Colorado

Colorado Springs, CO

Not every day on the road is about a famous landmark, and Day 3 was a good reminder that the in-between moments are some of the best ones.

We rolled out after breakfast with the energy turned all the way up. There were tunes playing, some seriously competitive games of Uno going down in the aisle, and a bus-wide happy birthday for Liv to start the morning right. Happy birthday, Liv!

Everyone was a champ on our long bus ride to Colorado!

After a lunch stop in Kansas, we crossed into Colorado and made our way toward Colorado Springs. We checked into the hotel, dropped our bags, and walked over to dinner, where we split into small groups and had plenty of time to just sit, talk, and hang out.

The evening only got better from there. We strolled over for froyo and ate it while watching the sun go down over the distant mountains (and, full disclosure, the parking lot too). Somewhere in there, a few brave souls attempted a round of synchronized handstands, with results we’ll generously call a work in progress.

It was the kind of low-key, feel-good evening that reminds you the people you travel with matter just as much as the places you go. Rested up and ready, we’ve got plenty more of Colorado waiting for us.
