Hikes, Pastries, and a Free Day in Jackson

Jackson, WY

Today with The Grand Western Tour kicked off with a challenge and ended with the kind of slow, easygoing afternoon we all needed.

The morning was all about Snow King Mountain. First, everyone grabbed breakfast on their own, and a whole crowd of us headed to Persephone for some seriously delicious pastries to fuel up. Then came the main event. An impressive 23 of us decided to hike up the mountain, while the other 7 took the gondola to the top. The climb was steep, and we will admit to a slightly accidental detour somewhere along the trails, but everyone pulled through and we all made it to the summit together.

At the top, we took some group photos to mark the accomplishment before riding the gondolas back down. It was a cool, drizzly morning up there, but right on cue, the sun peeked out as we made our way back into town.

From there, the day was ours to enjoy. Many of us took some well-earned naps and showers after the hike, caught up on laundry, and headed out to shop for souvenirs and track down lunch, dinner, and plenty of ice cream. It was the perfect chance to bond a little more and get to know each other in smaller groups while exploring the town.

A big climb and a relaxing afternoon. Not a bad way to spend a day out West. Until next time!
