Lights, Camera, Hollywood: A Day in LA with The Grand Western Tour

Los Angeles, CA

Today with The Grand Western Tour, we swapped sandy beaches for the glitz of Los Angeles, and the city gave us a day straight out of the movies.

After starting things off with a hotel breakfast, our lady bag loaders stepped up and stacked the bus full of suitcases, and just like that, we were off. We drove through the morning and stopped at the Hollywood Farmers Market for lunch, where we got to explore all kinds of produce and international cuisine. A few of the girls even found some cute new outfits at their favorite stores in the Grove.

From there, we met up with our step on step off guide, Paul, who showed us around Hollywood. He pointed out where different movies were filmed around the city, told us all about his favorite films and actors, and shared stories from his own experiences in the acting industry.

Our first stop was the Griffith Observatory, where a bunch of us got to hold a meteorite older than our planet and snap some pictures of the famous Hollywood sign. Next, we made our way to Hollywood Boulevard to see Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, where it was so cool to place our hands and feet in the prints left behind by legendary stars. Our last stop with Paul was a quick peek at Beverly Hills, complete with a picture by the sign.

After saying goodbye to Paul, we drove the rest of the way to Anaheim, grabbed some fried chicken at Raising Cane’s, and headed to Downtown Disney for a little taste of the magic before we fully dive in tomorrow. We picked up treats, did some more shopping, and walked away with Mickey ears and even a Jedi robe, courtesy of Tripp.

A day of Hollywood history and Disney excitement, with the best still to come. See you tomorrow!
