Sun, Surf, and Fireworks: A Fourth of July at Pismo Beach

Today with The Grand Western Tour, we celebrated the Fourth of July in true summer style, with sand between our toes and fireworks overhead.

We started the morning with a drive down to Pismo Beach, grabbing Chick-fil-A for breakfast along the way. The bus was buzzing the whole ride, full of face painting, fairy hair, and all sorts of festive Fourth of July preparations. By the time we arrived, everyone was dressed up and ready to celebrate.

We rolled into the beach in the afternoon and spent some time doing exactly what a beach day calls for. We laid out in the sun, swam in the ocean (which was a bit chilly, but that never stops us), explored the town, and stopped for a good lunch.

In the late afternoon, we headed off to check into the hotel and grab dinner nearby before making our way back to the beach for the big event: an evening fireworks show. The place was absolutely packed, but the fireworks were so worth it. We stood near the beach as they lit them off the pier, the sky bursting with color above us.

Afterward, we took the chance to snap some beautiful pictures, with everyone all dressed up for the occasion. From a sunny beach day to a sky full of fireworks, it was a Fourth of July none of us will forget. Until tomorrow!
